Photography Copyright 1978 Glenn Luttrell This photograph was published by Louisiana Life for its 1992 Calendar Unfortunately, this very scenic area (formerly Area 2) is no longer a part of Cheniere Lake Park.  Although this area was maintained by the people of Ouachita Parish for many years as a part of Cheniere Lake Park, a resurvey of the property apparently found that it was privately owned.  It was purchased by a local individual and the Ouachita Parish Police Jury would not take the actions necessary to preserve it as part of Cheniere Lake Park.
